For Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, BHMG boasts 30 of the 80 Board Certified Surgeons in the Country.  Our Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons Are:

• Graduates of an accredited medical school
• Have completed a minimum of five years of surgical training and an accredited plastic surgery residency training
• Passed the comprehensive oral and written exams of the Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery
• Fellows of the Philippine College of Surgeons
• Fellows of the Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons
• Have completed training in the US and other countries

Medical and graduate medical education in the Philippines is patterned after the American model. Physicians complete four years of undergraduate studies, four years of medical school, and a year of clinical internship before taking the licensure examination.

• It is followed by three- or five-year postgraduate residency training in a specified clinical specialty, then a certifying examination by the appropriate medical specialty board.
• Thereafter, physicians undergo fellowship training in various sub-specialties which entails an additional two or three years, and a subsequent certifying examination by the medical sub-specialty board. All in all, physicians undergo at least 10 years of medical education and training.
