Ocuplastic surgery is the cosmetic, corrective, and reconstructive surgery of the eye. This surgery is primarily for abnormalities of the eyelids and their surrounding tissues, including their position and contour, in order to maintain, restore or improve function and appearance. These cases include drooping eyelids (ptosis), eyelid cysts and turmours, watering eyes and artificial (prosthetic) eyes). Other surgeries that fall under this category are aesthetic treatments to improve perceived beuty including blepharoplasty surgery and botulinum toxin injections.
