ELOS
SKIN HAIR
REMOVAL (DSL)
ELOS-
Electro Optical
Synergy is a revolutionary technology that uses bi-polar
radio frequency (RF), a highly controllable energy heat
source, with optical energy. This is utilized by the E- Max
machine to cater to applications such as, hair removal,
advanced skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, vein
treatment and acne & skin tightening. As compared to
conventional lasers, the use of ELOS ensures improved client
safety and satisfaction. It lowers the risk of epidermal
damage by using less optical energy and directing the RF
energy deeper into the dermis instead of onto the epidermal
layer of the skin. An Active Dermal Monitoring is also part
of its state- of- the art safety features, providing real
time temperature feedback with each pulse. The ELOS
difference, pioneered by IPL inventor/patent- holder Dr. S.
Eckhouse and physicist Dr. M. Kreindel, certainly presents
enhanced efficacy, maximized safety and improved treatment
results for its users.
Treatment that
uses laser and bi-polar radiofrequency energies to reduce
growth of unwanted hair on areas such as the upper lip,
cheeks, chin, neck, armpits, breasts, stomach, arms,
shoulders, bikini area, legs and back.
The
Effect
This hair removal treatment powered by the revolutionary
elos technology, grants its clients satisfactory results in
reducing hair growth as well as keeping each growth finer,
lighter in color and sluggish.

The
Procedure
DSL treatments do not necessary require topical anesthetics
unless clients prefer having their skin numb prior to the
procedure. The area to be treated will be covered with a
layer of cool, clear gel that serves as a RF conductive
medium before proceeding. Once the RF conductive medium has
been applied, the areas are then treated with a gentle pulse
of light and Radio-Frequency energy. The target is preheated
by using the light energy which creates a thermal path on
which the bi-polar RF travels. The RF is then absorbed by
the hair and transformed to heat resulting to terminally
disabled and denatured hair follicle, thus hair growth
prevention. To help relieve the discomfort clients feel
during the procedure, a chilled air device prevents the
upper layers of the skin from becoming too hot while
effectively treating the follicle below. A cycle of 3-8
treatments are usually required to achieve satisfactory
clearance and performed every 2-3 months. But due to
individual growth patterns, cycle of treatments may vary.

Best
Candidates
Since Laser energy is naturally
attracted to dark colors, the best
candidates for permanent laser hair
removal are those with light skin and
dark hair. Treatment for those with
lighter colored hair may require more
treatments and the response rate may be
less predictable

Side Effects
Temporary skin flushing may last for a short time following
treatment.

Recovery Time
There is no downtime required. Most clients return to their
normal activities immediately after treatment.

Frequently Asked
Questions
How does Hair Removal with elos™ DSL Applicator work?
The DSL uses laser and bi-polar radio frequency energies to
damage the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from
growing hair, which means that gradually over several
treatments, there is a permanent reduction in the amount of
hair in that area.
Do men have Laser Hair
Removal treatment?
Many men can have back and
chest hair permanently controlled using the laser method.
Since the treatment is much faster now, a back can be
treated in about 20 minutes.
Is treatment with the DSL Applicator safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin. There are many advances
in the DSL technology that make it one of the safest hair
removal systems available for all skin colors. There are no
long term health hazards from laser or electric energies
used in the DSL. Both have been used for decades in
medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.
How is DSL Applicator treatment tolerated by the patient?
Everyone has different pain tolerances but most patients are
treated without topical anaesthetic creams. The chilled air
device, SynerCool™ is very helpful for discomfort during
treatment and especially when fast, auto-repeat firing is
used for large treatment zones.
How frequently does one need DSL Applicator treatments?
The treatments are usually performed every 2-3 months, but
this depends on individual factors.
What happens after each DSL Applicator treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and
most people return to work or normal activities immediately
after treatment. The treated area will “shed” some hairs
over the next 2-4 weeks, and patients may experience a
period of hairlessness in the area while you wait for your
next treatment.
